Ducati 250 Mk 3

Ducati 250 Mk 3

We are advertising this bike on behalf of the family of the previous owner. We know little about this bike and it has not been run for a couple of years. At that time it was running well and from the pictures it can seen that the bike has been maintained to a good standard. This is a 1973 widecase 250 Mk3 and is UK registered with a V5. The engine number can be seen to be correct for a Mark 3.  The bike deviates from original in a few respects, this would have originally been a Blue and Gold bike. The type of modifications and changes are very fitting within the period and often carried out by owners to their own liking.  The bike is fitted with a Desmo seat unit and has been painted Red with original Desmo decals.  the cylinder head has been gas flowed, twin plugged and a Mk2 Amal carb is fitted.  Other deviations from original are replacement clocks ( originals were very prone to failure), straight bars, some electrical upgrading, nice period Tommasselli hand controls, Goldstar silencer and a steering damper. In all other respects the bike is original.  All in all a nicely presented well looked after example of a well loved and sympathetically used example of this model.  Unfortunately we cannot provide information regarding the internals of the engine but we have no reason to suspect any issues. It should be noted that this bike has not been run for a couple of years and therefore it is assumed that the bike will need a small sensible element of recommissioning before use.
