Ducati 350 Short Stroke Race Bike

Ducati short stroke 350 race bike, originally built in the 80's  by Simpson Mecanique and raced by Adam Watkins with some success at the time. To our knowledge the engine is a combination of a 250 bottom end married to a 450 top end to create a short stroke 350. This can be substantiated by the 250 crank case numbers and the 450 top end with the 450 cylinder shortened at the base. Exact specifications beyond this are not known but it does have a twin plug head, race cam and a high compression piston.  The gear change has been converted to left hand change which could be reverted back if required. Also from the pictures it can be seen that there is a Mk 1 Amal carb, a Japanese twin leading shoe front brake and a mechanical Tacho.

This bike was sold to Spain in 1993 where it was campaigned for some time winning a Spanish Championship. From Information we have gathered it is thought that the bike has not been used for around 20 years. However the current owner confirms that the bike is running and he has run it at a track day and all is functioning correctly therefore it is said to be ready for race or parade use.
